ARaaS® Dashboard Wiki / KPIs and OPIs

Metrics and tool

KPIs and OPIs

The dashboard is only as good as the measures it carries. This is the metric hierarchy, from the operational indicators the apps produce to the executive indices a board tracks, how they roll up, and a live tool to build a portfolio index yourself.

The metric hierarchy

Measures sit at levels, and the roll-up is the disciplined path from one to the next:

OPIsOperational performance indicators: the shop-floor and asset measures the apps compute, such as OEE, MTBF, corrosion rate or stockout risk. Precise, frequent, owned by the discipline.
Pillar indicesEach pillar rolls its OPIs into one 0 to 100 index against target, so a discipline has a single comparable score.
Portfolio health indexThe five pillar indices combine on agreed weights into the one number that tracks the whole estate over time.
KPIs and targetsThe key indicators leadership commits to, each with a target and a red, amber and green threshold, drawn from the levels above.

Leading and lagging, balanced

A dashboard of only lagging measures reports history. The ARaaS® Dashboard pairs each lagging outcome with the leading indicator that predicts it: OEE with PM compliance, availability with condition alerts and remaining useful life, integrity risk with inspection coverage and overdue items, spares value with criticality cover. The pairing is what turns a report into an early warning.

Benchmarking

An index is most useful against a reference. Pillar and portfolio indices are tracked against their own targets and trends, and against the Optimal® GARPI™ benchmark, so a site knows not just whether it improved but how it stands relative to comparable operations. Benchmarks are shown as context, never as a hard score on their own.

Try it: the portfolio roll-up

Set each pillar score to see the portfolio health index the dashboard would report. Notice how a single weak pillar pulls the index and how the weighting shapes the result.

Each pillar is a 0 to 100 health score rolled up from its app. Weights: production 25, availability 25, integrity 20, asset health 15, spares 15. Illustrative.

Weighted roll-up of the five pillars. Green at or above 85, amber 70 to 84, red below 70.

Where the ARaaS® Dashboard fits

The dashboard computes exactly this roll-up from live app data rather than from sliders, holds the definitions and weights as agreed configuration, and shows every index against target and benchmark. The architecture page covers how the underlying numbers arrive.
